Kathumar Tahsil, with population of about 2.5 lakh is Alwar district's the 5th least populous sub district, located in Alwar district of the state Rajasthan in India. There are 152 villages in the sub district, among them Kathoomar is the most populous village with population of 9480 and Rundh Maithana is the least populous village with population of 4. Tasai is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 14 km2 and Chak Tapsi is the smallest with 0 km2.

There is only one city in the sub district that comes under the sub district administration which is Kherli (M) Municipality.
