Kalkulam Taluka, with population of about 6.1 lakh is Kanniyakumari district's the most populous sub district, located in Kanniyakumari district of the state Tamil Nadu in India. There are 17 villages in the sub district, among them Kadiapattinam is the most populous village with population of about 27 thousand and Ponmanai is the least populous village with population of 86. Veerapuli R.F. is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 281 km2 and Ponmanai is the smallest with 1 km2.
