Kopargaon Tahsil, with population of about 3 lakh is Ahmadnagar district's the 8th least populous sub district, located in Ahmadnagar district of the state Maharashtra in India. There are 80 villages in the sub district, among them Suregaon is the most populous village with population of about 12 thousand and Ghoyegaon is the least populous village with population of 471. Samvatsar is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 40 km2 and Handewadi is the smallest with 2 km2.

There is only one city in the sub district that comes under the sub district administration which is Kopargaon Municipal Council.
