Daund Tahsil, with population of about 3.8 lakh is Pune district's the 7th least populous sub district, located in Pune district of the state Maharashtra in India. There are 102 villages in the sub district, among them Patas is the most populous village with population of about 17 thousand and Naygaon is the least populous village with population of 380. Padvi is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 60 km2 and Tamhanwadi is the smallest with 3 km2.

There are 2 cities in the sub district which comes under the sub district administration, those are - Daund Municipal Council; and Daund Census Town.
