Umred Tahsil, with population of about 1.5 lakh is Nagpur district's the 7th least populous sub district, located in Nagpur district of the state Maharashtra in India. There are 139 villages in the sub district, among them Bela is the most populous village with population of 8734 and Fattepur is the least populous village with population of 10. Sirsi (r) is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 26 km2 and Dawalimet is the smallest with 1 km2.

There is only one city in the sub district that comes under the sub district administration which is Umred Municipal Council.

Demographics

The sub district is home to about 1.5 lakh people, among them about 79 thousand (51%) are male and about 75 thousand (49%) are female. 67% of the whole population are from general caste, 18% are from schedule caste and 15% are schedule tribes.
