Hoshangabad Tahsil, with population of about 1.7 lakh is Hoshangabad district's the 5th least populous sub district, located in Hoshangabad district of the state Madhya Pradesh in India. There are 40 villages in the sub district, among them Raipur is the most populous village with population of 6938 and Tarondadhana is the least populous village with population of 212. Raipur is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 23 km2 and Tugariya is the smallest with 1 km2.

There is only one city in the sub district that comes under the sub district administration which is Hoshangabad Municipality.
