Farakka Community Development Block, with population of about 2.7 lakh is Murshidabad district's the 8th most populous sub district, located in Murshidabad district of the state West Bengal in India. There are 56 villages in the sub district, among them Kuli is the most populous village with population of about 28 thousand and Fatepur is the least populous village with population of 37. Kuli is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 14 km2 and Par Debidaspur is the smallest with 0 km2.
There are 8 census towns in the sub district, those are - Paranpara, Mahadeb Nagar, Farakka Barrage Township, Benia Gram and Mamrejpur Census Towns (limited to 5 most populous).

The sub district is home to about 2.7 lakh people, among them about 1.4 lakh (51%) are male and about 1.3 lakh (49%) are female. 86% of the whole population are from general caste, 12% are from schedule caste and 2% are schedule tribes. Population of the sub district has increased by 24.6% in last 10 years. In 2001 census total population here were about 2.2 lakh.
