Leh(Ladakh) District, with population of about 1.3 lakh is Jammu & Kashmir's the least populous district, located in the state Jammu & Kashmir in India. Total geographical area of Leh(Ladakh) district is about 45 thousand km2 and it is the biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 3 persons per km2. There are 3 sub districts in the district, among them Leh is the most populous sub district with population of about 94 thousand and Khalsi is the least populous sub district with population of about 17 thousand.

There is only one city in the district that comes under the district administration which is Leh Ladakh (MC) Municipal Committee.
