Barmer District, with population of about 26 lakh is Rajasthan's the 7th most populous district, located in the state Rajasthan in India. Total geographical area of Barmer district is about 28 thousand km2 and it is the 3rd biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 92 persons per km2. There are 8 sub districts in the district, among them Chohtan is the most populous sub district with population of about 4.9 lakh and Ramsar is the least populous sub district with population of about 1.1 lakh.
