East Godavari District Urban Part, with population of about 13.1 lakh is Andhra Pradesh's the 4th most urban populous district, located in the state Andhra Pradesh in India. Total geographical area of East Godavari district urban part is 300 km2 and it is the 6th smallest urban district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 4373 persons per km2. There are 13 sub districts in the district, among them Rajahmundry (Urban) Urban is the most populous sub district with urban population of about 3.4 lakh and Sankhavaram Urban is the least populous sub district with urban population of 5073.

There are 13 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Kakinada and Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation and Out Growths; Rajahmundry and Kakinada Municipal Corporations; Samalkot, Mandapeta, Tuni, Amalapuram and Pithapuram Municipalities (limited to 5 most populous) Mandapeta and Pithapuram Municipality and Out Growths.
