Rangareddy District, with population of about 25.7 lakh is Telangana's the 3rd most populous district, located in the state Telangana in India. Total geographical area of Rangareddy district is 7493 km2 and it is the 2nd smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 343 persons per km2. There are 16 sub districts in the district, among them Saroornagar is the most populous sub district with population of about 5.5 lakh and Manchal is the least populous sub district with population of about 46 thousand.

The district is home to about 25.7 lakh people, among them about 13.2 lakh (51%) are male and about 12.5 lakh (49%) are female. 84% of the whole population are from general caste, 12% are from schedule caste and 4% are schedule tribes.
