Medak District, with population of about 8.5 lakh is Telangana's the 15th most populous district, located in the state Telangana in India. Total geographical area of Medak district is 9699 km2 and it is the 4th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 88 persons per km2. There are 15 sub districts in the district, among them Medak is the most populous sub district with population of about 1.2 lakh and Kulcharam is the least populous sub district with population of about 36 thousand.

There are 4 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Sadasivpet and Medak Municipality and Out Growths Medak and Sadasivpet Municipalities.

The district is home to about 8.5 lakh people, among them about 4.2 lakh (49%) are male and about 4.3 lakh (51%) are female. 75% of the whole population are from general caste, 17% are from schedule caste and 8% are schedule tribes.
