Kendrapara District, with population of about 14.4 lakh is Odisha's the 14th most populous district, located in the state Odisha in India. Total geographical area of Kendrapara district is 2644 km2 and it is the 5th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 545 persons per km2. There are 12 sub districts in the district, among them Pattamundai is the most populous sub district with population of about 2.2 lakh and Jamboo Marine is the least populous sub district with population of about 29 thousand.
There is only one city in the district that comes under the district administration which is Kendrapara Municipality.

The district is home to about 14.4 lakh people, among them about 7.2 lakh (50%) are male and about 7.2 lakh (50%) are female. 78% of the whole population are from general caste, 22% are from schedule caste and 1% are schedule tribes.
