There are 49 villages in the sub district, among them Kukkundoor is the most populous village with population of about 13 thousand and Padukudoor is the least populous village with population of 725. Nadpalu is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 138 km2 and Kedinje is the smallest with 3 km2.
