Bellary Taluka, with population of about 7.7 lakh is Bellary district's the most populous sub district, located in Bellary district of the state Karnataka in India. There are 97 villages in the sub district, among them Kurugodu is the most populous village with population of about 22 thousand and Mallapura (Shrothriyam) is the least populous village with population of 71. Kudathini is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 78 km2 and Karikeri is the smallest with 3 km2.

There is only one city in the sub district that comes under the sub district administration which is Bellary Municipal Corporation.
