Sirsi Taluka, with population of about 1.9 lakh is Uttara Kannada district's the most populous sub district, located in Uttara Kannada district of the state Karnataka in India. There are 228 villages in the sub district, among them Banavasi is the most populous village with population of 6783 and Mugilkoppa is the least populous village with population of 13. Hebre is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 54 km2 and Kalkai is the smallest with 0 km2.
