Bijapur Taluka, with population of about 7.2 lakh is Bijapur district's the most populous sub district, located in Bijapur district of the state Karnataka in India. There are 130 villages in the sub district, among them Tikota is the most populous village with population of about 12 thousand and Rambhapur is the least populous village with population of 108. Kanamadi is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 97 km2 and Basavanagar is the smallest with 1 km2.

There is only one city in the sub district that comes under the sub district administration which is Bijapur City Municipal Council.
