Belgaum Taluka, with population of about 9.6 lakh is Belgaum district's the most populous sub district, located in Belgaum district of the state Karnataka in India. There are 120 villages in the sub district, among them Bagewadi is the most populous village with population of about 13 thousand and Parsenahatti is the least populous village with population of 157. Tumarguddi is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 23 km2 and Kurihal (K.H) is the smallest with 1 km2.

There are 14 cities in the sub district which comes under the sub district administration, those are - Belgaum Municipal Corporation and Out Growth; Belgaum Municipal Corporation; Belgaum Cantonment Cantonment Board; Machche, Peeranwadi, Kakati, Hindalgi and Sambra Census Towns (limited to 5 most populous).
