There are 173 villages in the sub district, among them Bordi is the most populous village with population of 7682 and Shelti is the least populous village with population of 154. Kainad is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 35 km2 and Pardi is the smallest with 1 km2.

There are 2 cities in the sub district which comes under the sub district administration, those are - Dahanu Municipal Council; and Chinchani Census Town.
