Barrackpur - I Community Development Block, with population of about 1.8 lakh is North Twenty Four Parganas district's the 6th least populous sub district, located in North Twenty Four Parganas district of the state West Bengal in India. There are 38 villages in the sub district, among them Mamudpur is the most populous village with population of about 15 thousand and Gurdaha (P) is the least populous village with population of 68. Mamudpur is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 7 km2 and Gurdaha (P) is the smallest with 0 km2.

There are 11 census towns in the sub district, those are - Kaugachhi, Noapara (P), Balibhara, Nagdaha and Garshyamnagar Census Towns (limited to 5 most populous).
