Sahara Tahsil, with population of about 1.4 lakh is Bhilwara district's the 4th least populous sub district, located in Bhilwara district of the state Rajasthan in India. There are 103 villages in the sub district, among them Potlan is the most populous village with population of 7204 and Hadiya Kheri is the least populous village with population of 15. Koshithal is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 32 km2 and Unchkiya is the smallest with 1 km2.

There is only one city in the sub district that comes under the sub district administration which is Gangapur Municipality.

Demographics

The sub district is home to about 1.4 lakh people, among them about 67 thousand (49%) are male and about 68 thousand (51%) are female. 75% of the whole population are from general caste, 18% are from schedule caste and 7% are schedule tribes. Child (aged under 6 years) population of Sahara tahsil is 15%, among them 52% are boys and 48% are girls. There are about 28 thousand households in the sub district and an average 5 persons live in every family.
