Uttar Pradesh State, with population of about 20 crore is India's the most populous state. Total geographical area of Uttar Pradesh state is about 2.4 lakh km2 and it is the 5th biggest state by area in the country. Population density of the state is 829 persons per km2. There are 71 districts in the state, among them Allahabad is the most populous district with population of about 59.5 lakh and Mahoba is the least populous district with population of about 8.8 lakh. Kheri is the biggest district in the state with an area of 7680 km2 and Sant Ravidas Nagar (Bhadohi) is the smallest with 1015 km2.

The state is home to about 20 crore people, among them about 10 crore (52%) are male and about 10 crore (48%) are female. 79% of the whole population are from general caste, 21% are from schedule caste and 1% are schedule tribes. Child (aged under 6 years) population of Uttar Pradesh state is 15%, among them 53% are boys and 47% are girls.
