Sikar District, with population of about 26.8 lakh is Rajasthan's the 6th most populous district, located in the state Rajasthan in India. Total geographical area of Sikar district is 7732 km2 and it is the 17th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 346 persons per km2. There are 6 sub districts in the district, among them Sikar is the most populous sub district with population of about 6.4 lakh and Fatehpur is the least populous sub district with population of about 3.1 lakh.

There are 11 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Sikar Municipal Council and Out Growth; Sikar Municipal Council; Fatehpur, Lachhmangarh, Neem-Ka-Thana, Ramgarh and Sri Madhopur Municipalities (limited to 5 most populous) and Khandela Municipality and Out Growth.

Demographics

The district is home to about 26.8 lakh people, among them about 13.7 lakh (51%) are male and about 13 lakh (49%) are female. 82% of the whole population are from general caste, 16% are from schedule caste and 3% are schedule tribes. Child (aged under 6 years) population of Sikar district is 14%, among them 54% are boys and 46% are girls.
