Uttara Kannada District, with population of about 14.4 lakh is Karnataka's the 11th least populous district, located in the state Karnataka in India. Total geographical area of Uttara Kannada district is about 10 thousand km2 and it is the 5th biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 140 persons per km2. There are 11 sub districts in the district, among them Sirsi is the most populous sub district with population of about 1.9 lakh and Supa is the least populous sub district with population of about 52 thousand.
