Rangareddy District, with population of about 53 lakh is Telangana's the most populous district, located in the state Telangana in India. Total geographical area of Rangareddy district is 7493 km2 and it is the 2nd smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 707 persons per km2. There are 37 sub districts in the district, among them Balanagar is the most populous sub district with population of about 5.7 lakh and Bantwaram is the least populous sub district with population of about 33 thousand.

There are 2 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Tandur and Vicarabad Municipalities.

The district is home to about 53 lakh people, among them about 27 lakh (51%) are male and about 26 lakh (49%) are female. 84% of the whole population are from general caste, 12% are from schedule caste and 4% are schedule tribes.
