Karimnagar District, with population of about 37.8 lakh is Telangana's the 4th most populous district, located in the state Telangana in India. Total geographical area of Karimnagar district is about 12 thousand km2 and it is the 5th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 319 persons per km2. There are 57 sub districts in the district, among them Karimnagar is the most populous sub district with population of about 3.6 lakh and Elgaid is the least populous sub district with population of about 22 thousand.

There are 10 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Karimnagar Municipal Corporation and Out Growth; Karimnagar Municipal Corporation; Ramagundam, Jagtial and Sircilla Municipality and Out Growths Ramagundam, Jagtial, Sircilla, Koratla and Metpalle Municipalities.

The district is home to about 37.8 lakh people, among them about 18.8 lakh (50%) are male and about 19 lakh (50%) are female. 78% of the whole population are from general caste, 19% are from schedule caste and 3% are schedule tribes.
