Bid District, with population of about 25.9 lakh is Maharashtra's the 17th least populous district, located in the state Maharashtra in India. Total geographical area of Bid district is about 11 thousand km2 and it is the 10th biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 242 persons per km2. There are 11 sub districts in the district, among them Bid is the most populous sub district with population of about 4.8 lakh and Wadwani is the least populous sub district with population of about 88 thousand.

There are 6 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Bid, Parli, Ambejogai, Manjlegaon and Georai Municipal Councils (limited to 5 most populous).

The district is home to about 25.9 lakh people, among them about 13.5 lakh (52%) are male and about 12.4 lakh (48%) are female. 85% of the whole population are from general caste, 14% are from schedule caste and 1% are schedule tribes. Child (aged under 6 years) population of Bid district is 14%, among them 55% are boys and 45% are girls.
