Hingoli District, with population of about 11.8 lakh is Maharashtra's the 3rd least populous district, located in the state Maharashtra in India. Total geographical area of Hingoli district is 4827 km2 and it is the 4th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 244 persons per km2. There are 5 sub districts in the district, among them Basmath is the most populous sub district with population of about 2.9 lakh and Aundha (Nagnath) is the least populous sub district with population of about 1.8 lakh.
