Total geographical area of Washim district is 4898 km2 and it is the 5th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 244 persons per km2. There are 6 sub districts in the district, among them Washim is the most populous sub district with population of about 2.6 lakh and Manora is the least populous sub district with population of about 1.6 lakh.
