Total geographical area of Jamnagar district is about 14 thousand km2 and it is the 2nd biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 152 persons per km2. There are 10 sub districts in the district, among them Jamnagar is the most populous sub district with population of about 8.5 lakh and Dhrol is the least populous sub district with population of about 79 thousand.
