Ahmadabad District Rural Part, with population of about 11.5 lakh is Gujarat's the 11th least rural populous district, located in the state Gujarat in India. Total geographical area of Ahmadabad district rural part is 7186 km2 and it is the 8th biggest rural district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 160 persons per km2. There are 10 sub districts in the district, among them Daskroi Rural is the most populous sub district with rural population of about 1.9 lakh and Barwala Rural is the least populous sub district with rural population of about 58 thousand.

There are 11 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Sanand, Dholka and Bavla Municipality and Out Growths; Dholka, Viramgam, Sanand, Bavla and Dhandhuka Municipalities (limited to 5 most populous) and Ahmadabad Municipal Corporation and Out Growth.
