Total geographical area of Gandhinagar district is 2140 km2 and it is the 2nd smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 650 persons per km2. There are 4 sub districts in the district, among them Gandhinagar is the most populous sub district with population of about 5.6 lakh and Mansa is the least populous sub district with population of about 2.1 lakh.
