Dhar District, with population of about 21.9 lakh is Madhya Pradesh's the 7th most populous district, located in the state Madhya Pradesh in India. Total geographical area of Dhar district is 8153 km2 and it is the 9th biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 268 persons per km2. There are 8 sub districts in the district, among them Dhar is the most populous sub district with population of about 5.8 lakh and Dahi is the least populous sub district with population of about 1.1 lakh.
