Rewa District, with population of about 23.7 lakh is Madhya Pradesh's the 5th most populous district, located in the state Madhya Pradesh in India. Total geographical area of Rewa district is 6314 km2 and it is the 22nd biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 375 persons per km2. There are 11 sub districts in the district, among them Huzur is the most populous sub district with population of about 4.8 lakh and Raipur - Karchuliyan is the least populous sub district with population of about 1 lakh.

There is only one city in the district that comes under the district administration which is Rewa Municipal Corporation.

The district is home to about 23.7 lakh people, among them about 12.3 lakh (52%) are male and about 11.4 lakh (48%) are female. 71% of the whole population are from general caste, 16% are from schedule caste and 13% are schedule tribes. Child (aged under 6 years) population of Rewa district is 15%, among them 53% are boys and 47% are girls.
