Ganjam District, with population of about 35.3 lakh is Odisha's the most populous district, located in the state Odisha in India. Total geographical area of Ganjam district is 8206 km2 and it is the 5th biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 430 persons per km2. There are 30 sub districts in the district, among them Brahmapur (M.Corp.) is the most populous sub district with population of about 3.6 lakh and ARJYAPALLI MARINE is the least populous sub district with population of 8001.

There is only one city in the district that comes under the district administration which is Brahmapur Municipal Corporation.

The district is home to about 35.3 lakh people, among them about 17.8 lakh (50%) are male and about 17.5 lakh (50%) are female. 77% of the whole population are from general caste, 20% are from schedule caste and 3% are schedule tribes.
