Nayagarh District, with population of about 9.6 lakh is Odisha's the 9th least populous district, located in the state Odisha in India. Total geographical area of Nayagarh district is 3890 km2 and it is the 13th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 248 persons per km2. There are 12 sub districts in the district, among them Ranapur is the most populous sub district with population of about 1.5 lakh and Banigochha is the least populous sub district with population of about 26 thousand.
