Cuttack District, with population of about 26.2 lakh is Odisha's the 2nd most populous district, located in the state Odisha in India. Total geographical area of Cuttack district is 3932 km2 and it is the 14th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 667 persons per km2. There are 25 sub districts in the district, among them Cuttack (M.Corp.) P.S is the most populous sub district with population of about 6.1 lakh and C.R.R.I. is the least populous sub district with population of 3190.

There are 3 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Cuttack Municipal Corporation; Choudwar Municipality and Out Growth; and Choudwar Municipality.

Demographics

The district is home to about 26.2 lakh people, among them about 13.5 lakh (52%) are male and about 12.7 lakh (48%) are female. 77% of the whole population are from general caste, 19% are from schedule caste and 4% are schedule tribes. Child (aged under 6 years) population of Cuttack district is 10%, among them 52% are boys and 48% are girls.
