Bhadrak District, with population of about 15.1 lakh is Odisha's the 12th most populous district, located in the state Odisha in India. Total geographical area of Bhadrak district is 2505 km2 and it is the 4th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 601 persons per km2. There are 12 sub districts in the district, among them Bhadrak Rural is the most populous sub district with population of about 3.6 lakh and Dhamara Marine is the least populous sub district with population of 4075.

There are 2 cities in the district which comes under the district administration, those are - Bhadrak Municipality and Out Growth; and Bhadrak Municipality.

The district is home to about 15.1 lakh people, among them about 7.6 lakh (50%) are male and about 7.5 lakh (50%) are female. 76% of the whole population are from general caste, 22% are from schedule caste and 2% are schedule tribes.
