South Twenty Four Parganas District, with population of about 81.6 lakh is West Bengal's the 2nd most populous district, located in the state West Bengal in India. Total geographical area of South Twenty Four Parganas district is 9960 km2 and it is the biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 819 persons per km2. There are 29 sub districts in the district, among them Baruipur is the most populous sub district with population of about 4.3 lakh and Budge Budge - I is the least populous sub district with population of about 1.1 lakh.
