Uttar Dinajpur District, with population of about 30.1 lakh is West Bengal's the 6th least populous district, located in the state West Bengal in India. Total geographical area of Uttar Dinajpur district is 3140 km2 and it is the 4th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 958 persons per km2. There are 9 sub districts in the district, among them Raiganj is the most populous sub district with population of about 4.3 lakh and Hemtabad is the least populous sub district with population of about 1.4 lakh.
