Total geographical area of Kaushambi district is 1779 km2 and it is the 9th smallest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 899 persons per km2. There are 3 sub districts in the district, among them Manjhanpur is the most populous sub district with population of about 5.6 lakh and Sirathu is the least populous sub district with population of about 5.1 lakh.
