Total geographical area of Kheri district is 7680 km2 and it is the biggest district by area in the state. Population density of the district is 524 persons per km2. There are 6 sub districts in the district, among them Lakhimpur is the most populous sub district with population of about 11.6 lakh and Palia is the least populous sub district with population of about 3.4 lakh.
