Thane Municipal Corporation, with population of about 18.4 lakh is Thane sub district's the most populous municipal corporation located in Thane sub district of Thane district in the state Maharashtra in India. Total geographical area of Thane municipal corporation is 128 km2 and it is the biggest city by area in the sub district. Population density of the city is 14361 persons per km2. There are 116 wards in the city, among them Thane Ward No 102 is the most populous ward with population of about 1 lakh and Thane Ward No 93 is the least populous ward with population of 8439.
