Haldia Municipality, with population of about 2 lakh is Purba Medinipur district's the most populous municipality located in Purba Medinipur district of the state West Bengal in India. Total geographical area of Haldia municipality is 110 km2 and it is the biggest city by area in the district. Population density of the city is 1832 persons per km2.
