South DumDum Municipality, with population of about 4 lakh is North Twenty Four Parganas district's the most populous municipality located in North Twenty Four Parganas district of the state West Bengal in India. Total geographical area of South DumDum municipality is 18 km2 and it is the 12th biggest city by area in the district. Population density of the city is 22916 persons per km2. There are 35 wards in the city, among them South Dumdum Ward No 29 is the most populous ward with population of about 20 thousand and South Dumdum Ward No 16 is the least populous ward with population of 4667.
