Baduria Municipality, with population of about 52 thousand is North Twenty Four Parganas district's the 3rd least populous municipality located in North Twenty Four Parganas district of the state West Bengal in India. Total geographical area of Baduria municipality is 22 km2 and it is the 6th biggest city by area in the district. Population density of the city is 2340 persons per km2. There are 17 wards in the city, among them Baduria Ward No 03 is the most populous ward with population of 4466 and Baduria Ward No 05 is the least populous ward with population of 1888.

Nearest railway station is Machhlandpaur which is 16 km far from here. Baduria is the sub district head quarter of the city. District head quarter of the city is Barasat which is 40 km away. Kolkata is the state head quarter of the city and is 68 km far from here. Yearly average rainfall of the city is 1412 mm. Maximum temperature here reaches up to 44°C and minimum temperature goes down to 8°C.
