Gobardanga Municipality, with population of about 45 thousand is North Twenty Four Parganas district's the 2nd least populous municipality located in North Twenty Four Parganas district of the state West Bengal in India. Total geographical area of Gobardanga municipality is 14 km2 and it is the 14th smallest city by area in the district. Population density of the city is 3361 persons per km2. There are 17 wards in the city, among them Gobardanga Ward No 03 is the most populous ward with population of 3769 and Gobardanga Ward No 17 is the least populous ward with population of 1846.
