Halisahar Municipality, with population of about 1.2 lakh is North Twenty Four Parganas district's the 12th least populous municipality located in North Twenty Four Parganas district of the state West Bengal in India. Total geographical area of Halisahar municipality is 8 km2 and it is the 6th smallest city by area in the district. Population density of the city is 15071 persons per km2. There are 23 wards in the city, among them Halisahar Ward No 18 is the most populous ward with population of about 10 thousand and Halisahar Ward No 20 is the least populous ward with population of 3373.
